Further aid for two vulnerable families in Holguín

Over the past two days, our volunteers in Holguín have once again been able to support two vulnerable families with food and hygiene products. Thanks to the support of our donors, two families, who struggle daily with the consequences of the crisis in Cuba, could breathe a sigh of relief for a while.

Yesterday we brought a care package to Heili and her family. Today Daylen visited Angela and her family.

Angela is 74 years old and, along with her 86-year-old husband, cares for their adult daughter. Due to a severe heart attack and multiple fractures, she is largely bedridden and completely dependent on her parents' care. As if that weren't enough, their home is also in poor condition. The family lives in difficult circumstances and struggles daily to meet their most basic needs.

When Daylen arrived today, Angela and her husband were out. Their daughter was at home alone and received the aid package from her bed. The package contained basic food supplies, hygiene products, and incontinence materials, among other items. For many people, these are ordinary products, but in Cuba, they often mean the difference between being able to eat or not, being able to wash, or receiving necessary care.

Making help possible together

Stichting Amistad con Cuba is committed to supporting people in Cuba who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Situations like these require direct, engaged, and practical humanitarian aid. Think of help in the form of medical supplies, essential necessities, support for families, or other forms of assistance that are urgently needed on the ground.
