During EFC’58’s away match against Olympia’28, a handsome sum was raised for AmiMesa, Stichting Amistad con Cuba’s new meal project.

The supporters travelled to the match by coach. After a thrilling match, EFC’58 from Ermelo unfortunately lost 4–3. However, there was some good news too. Thanks to the generosity of the supporters, €96.67 was raised for AmiMesa!

This amount can provide approximately 80 hot meals in Cuba for people experiencing hardship.

Food is becoming increasingly scarce and expensive in Cuba. That is why initiatives such as AmiMesa are making a direct difference to families, the elderly and people living alone who need help.

AmiMesa, which literally means “Table of Friendship”, is a new initiative by the Amistad con Cuba Foundation. The aim is simple: to bring people together over a meal and treat them with respect, dignity and care.

We are very grateful for this support from the EFC’58 family. Every euro helps. Every contribution provides a meal, a smile, and a moment of togetherness.
