What we do (and what we don't do)
Stichting Amistad con Cuba was founded with one goal: to help people who are experiencing difficulties.
Not from politics. Not from ideology. But from humanity.
What we do
We offer direct and controlled help to people in Cuba.
This means we focus on concrete support, such as:
Food and basic necessities
Toiletries
* Medication support (via the correct channels, such as pharmacies and medical professionals)
Initiatives that contribute to development, such as education
Our approach is simple: Where it is necessary, we try to help.
We work with local contacts and ensure that help reaches where it's truly needed.
What we don't do
To ensure clarity and trust, there are also things we consciously do not do:
We are no political organisation
We make no discrimination based on ideology or belief
We give no money direct to individuals
We trade always with care, control and responsibility
Transparency and respect
Transparency is important to us. Donors and stakeholders must be able to trust what we do.
At the same time, it applies: Transparency stops where privacy and respect begin.
We share what is necessary to provide insight, but always protect the dignity of the people we help.
Building together
We are a young foundation, still in development. This means we will continue to learn, improve, and grow.
What will always remain central for us: Not a map. Not a country. No politics. But people.
Our goal
The most important thing we must never lose sight of: helping people who are having a difficult time.
That's what the foundation is for. Not for egos, but for real help.
